The new Junk Fingers album “Audrey’s Fever (and Other Stories)” is now available to order through the Hepcat Dilemma website. Junk Fingers is a Pittsburgh Supergroup featuring Melissa Ippolito (Fuzzy Comets) on vocals, Bob Loiselle (Special Ed/Hepcat Dilemma) on guitar and keyboards, Evan Knauer (ATS) on bass and Byron Glatz (Hepcat Dilemma) on drums and the new album is their first release in 15 years.
The album features the mini rock opera “Audrey’s Fever” which tells the story of a someone who always dreamed of being able to fly. One mysterious night she meets Andy Warhol who gives her the secret to make her dreams come true.
Junk Fingers formed in 2009 when ex-Hepcat Dilemma drummer Byron Glatz boasted he could “put a band together in 10 minutes” and then proceeded to do just that. The original line-up had Chris Colpo on bass and released the album “You Can’t Drink All Day Unless You Start in the Morning”.
The new album had been percolating for nearly a decade before seeing the light of day. Recording finally started in early 2021 at Hollywood Studios in Dormont with producer Matt Vaughan. “It was a long journey to get the album done,” says guitarist Bob Loiselle. “There were a few times it looked like it would never happen so we are truly pleased to finally be able to have the album released.”
“Audrey’s Fever (and Other Stories)” is available on vinyl from Rat-on-a-Stick Records.
